그 아기는 이름을 예수라고 하였다.

올 한 해의 시작 복음의 말씀은 아주 간단합니다.

예수님의 이름은 성모님이 수태하 시 전에

주어진 이름으로 천사가 이를 알려줍니다.

 

이름은 자기가 스스로 짓는 것이 아니고

부모님이 지어주는 것이 일반적입니다.

 

그러기에 예수님의 부모님의 천사가 알려준 대로

아기의 이름을 지었습니다.

 

그렇기 때문에 당연히 아기의 이름은 수동태가 되는 것입니다.

 

올 한 해도 모든 일이 심플하고 명쾌하게 풀려서

더욱 행복한 한 해가 되시길 기원합니다!

LK 2:16-21

The shepherds went in haste to Bethlehem and found Mary and Joseph,
and the infant lying in the manger.
When they saw this,
they made known the message
that had been told them about this child.
All who heard it were amazed
by what had been told them by the shepherds.
And Mary kept all these things,
reflecting on them in her heart.
Then the shepherds returned,
glorifying and praising God
for all they had heard and seen,
just as it had been told to them.

When eight days were completed for his circumcision,
he was named Jesus, the name given him by the angel
before he was conceived in the womb.
